Walid Saeed Lotfy
Master of tiling, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇬 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt
- Cairo Shop
- Since 1983
- English, Arabic
I've worked in tiling since 1983. I learned from my older brother and passed what I could on to 820 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 18 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Walid
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Walid: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
