Waleed Majid Cherif
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇸🇦 Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
- The Dammam Shop
- 1981 to 2009
- English, Arabic
I've worked in welding from 1981 to 2009. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,180 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Waleed: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
