Waleed Khalil

Boxing and fitness coach, Riyadh

  • 🇸🇦 Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
  • Riyadh Youth Club
  • 1980 to 2005
  • English
I coached boxing at Riyadh Youth Club from 1980 to 2005. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

You coached me in 1985. I still hear your voice on the sideline!
