Wafula Rashidi

Woodcarving and graphic design artist

🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
Hillcrest Print Workshop
Since 1999
English, Swahili

I got into woodcarving as a hobby and somewhere along the way it became the thing I do every day. Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Wafula

I've had 11 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
