I've been a nurse for 25 years, most of them in orthopedics at St. Anne's Maternity Hospital in Burnaby. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
