Volkan Burak Önder
Mentor in teaching and public speaking
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Istanbul Mentoring Circle
- 2005 to 2015
- English, Turkish
For ten years I've mentored people in teaching and public speaking. Mostly it's coffee, honest feedback and a lot of listening.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Volkan
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Volkan: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
