Viviane Mariana Mendes
Teaching mentor, Contagem
- 🇧🇷 Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil
- Silverlake Community Trust
- 2007 to 2023
- Portuguese, English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 300 people through Silverlake Community Trust.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I'm always reading two books at once.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Viviane
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
What gifts mean to Viviane: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
