Vishal A. Malhotra
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Surat, Gujarat, India
- Surat Community Club
- 2003 to 2023
- English
I coached rowing at Surat Community Club from 2003 to 2023. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Vishal
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Vishal: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
