I've been a nurse for eight years, most of them in palliative care at Eastgate Children's Hospital in Bologna. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
