Vindya Hasini De Silva
English literature and chemistry teacher, Galle
- 🇱🇰 Galle, Southern, Sri Lanka
- Windsor High School
- 1979 to 1994
- English, Sinhala
Windsor High School was my second home. I taught English literature there from 1979 to 1994, mostly Grade 8.
Over the years I had 300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Vindya
If you were in my Grade 8 class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.

What gifts mean to Vindya: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
