Vincent Samuel Sarpong
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇭 Tarkwa, Western, Ghana
- Little Tarkwa Repairs
- Since 1995
- English
I've worked in thatching since 1995. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,670 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 21 years later for another job.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Vincent: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
