I teach materials science at Novosibirsk Institute of Technology since 1985, and supervised 32 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
