I coached badminton at Greenfield Community Club from 1982 to 2004. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Vida
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Vida: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
