Victor Yakubu Tijani
Netball coach, Ikeja Youth Club
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- 2002 to 2017
- English, Yoruba, French
I coached netball at Ikeja Youth Club from 2002 to 2017. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Victor: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
