Victor Simiyu Wafula
Hockey coach, Likoni Westbrook Boxing Gym
- 🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya
- Since 1988
- English, Swahili
For 38 years I've run the hockey program at Likoni Westbrook Boxing Gym in Likoni. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
More about Victor
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Victor: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
