I taught religious studies at Baobab Primary School in Mombasa from 1999 to 2010. Most days I taught Year 7, and I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 660 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
