For 36 years I ran the baseball program at Ciudad de México Lincoln Athletic Club in Ciudad de México. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Verónica
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Verónica: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 2008. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Nnewi.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
