Venkatesh Kamath

Self-taught woodcarving artist

  • 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
  • Mumbai Studio
  • 1985 to 2013
  • English, Malayalam
I'm a woodcarving artist based in Mumbai. I've been making things from 1985 to 2013 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. Most of my work is inspired by folk tales I grew up with. I sing in a choir. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Venkatesh

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
