I've worked in plumbing from 1986 to 2013. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 810 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
What gifts mean to Venkat: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
