I've played traditional drumming from 1980 to 1998, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Venkat
I wrote my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
