Vasanthi K. Varma

Self-taught woodcarving artist

I'm a woodcarving artist based in Pune. I've been making things from 1980 to 2013 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave. My studio is always a bit of a mess.

What gifts mean to Vasanthi: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 2021. It's still the first thing I see in the morning Greetings from Juazeiro do Norte.
