Vasanthi H. Pillai
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India
- Thiruvananthapuram Shop
- 2007 to 2023
- English, Telugu
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 2007 in Thiruvananthapuram and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I answer every message, eventually.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Vasanthi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Vasanthi: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
