I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 22 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Vasanthi
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Vasanthi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
