Vandana W. Jat

Economics and accounting teacher, Brampton

  • 🇨🇦 Brampton, Ontario, Canada
  • Hope Primary School
  • 2002 to 2025
  • English
I came to teaching late, after working as a farmhand, and 23 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I had 1,360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Vandana

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Vandana: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me economics in 2017 at Hope Primary School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Truly.

You taught me economics in 2009 at Hope Primary School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard. Truly.
