For 24 years I was the art teacher at Maple Ridge Girls' School. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the surprise birthday cake.

What gifts mean to Valentina: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
