I've coached badminton at Fresno Boxing Gym since 1989. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Valentina
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
