I teach physical education at Philadelphia High School in Philadelphia since 1987. Most days I teach teenagers, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,830 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Valentina
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
