For eight years I was the accounting teacher at São Paulo Boys' School. I taught the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

What gifts mean to Valentina: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
