I've been a nurse for 32 years, most of them in community health at Victory Maternity Hospital in La Plata. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I sing in a choir.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
