I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and 48 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I never raise my voice.

You taught me English literature in 2025 at Lakeview Girls' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

You taught me English literature in 1980 at Lakeview Girls' School. I still remember the quiz night we nearly won. Truly.
