I coached chess at Bayview Youth Club from 2001 to 2018. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Utami
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Utami: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
