Usman Okechukwu Oladipo
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Old Holy Cross Workshop
- Since 1982
- English, Hausa
I've worked in bicycle repair since 1982. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 2,290 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.
I'm still learning every day.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Usman: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.

You fixed our roof in 2015 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Tamale.
