I've been a nurse for 30 years, most of them in midwifery at Lahore Children's Hospital in Lahore. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm always reading two books at once.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Usman
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.
What gifts mean to Usman: I'd put gifts toward a training course in palliative care.
