Usman Gbenga Ekwueme
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Kaduna, Kaduna, Nigeria
- Kaduna Boxing Gym
- Since 1991
- English, Igbo
For 35 years I've run the chess program at Kaduna Boxing Gym in Kaduna. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I watch every football match going.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
