I taught design and technology at Bayview Girls' School in Rawalpindi from 1995 to 2010. Most days I taught Year 9, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 410 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Usman
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
