Usman Bello Adeyemi
Local tiling and weaving
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lakeview Shop
- 1991 to 2008
- English, Yoruba
I've worked in tiling from 1991 to 2008. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 850 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Usman
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Usman: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
