Upendo Halima Temba
Nursing mentor, Kasarani
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Gateway Mentoring Circle
- Since 2015
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 660 people through Gateway Mentoring Circle.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I sing in a choir.
More about Upendo
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Upendo: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
