Unathi Ndlovu
Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices
- 🇿🇦 East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa
- Crown Repairs
- 2018 to 2025
- English, Zulu
I've worked in leatherwork from 2018 to 2025. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 210 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea.
More about Unathi
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Unathi: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
