Umesh F. Bansal
Oud player and teacher in Thane
- 🇮🇳 Thane, Maharashtra, India
- Valley View Music School
- Since 1994
- English, Hindi, Spanish
I play oud and folk music. I started in 1994 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Umesh
I write my first song when I was 13. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Umesh: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
