Umesh D. Kothari
16 years teaching art in Mumbai
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Phoenix Secondary School
- 2001 to 2009
- English, Gujarati, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and eight years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 280 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Umesh
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Umesh: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
