I taught civil engineering at Harbor Institute of Technology from 1988 to 2008, and supervised 37 dissertations along the way.
Former students now work as a shop assistant and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
What gifts mean to Umar: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
