I taught materials science at Heritage College from 2000 to 2009, and supervised 55 dissertations along the way.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I'm always reading two books at once.

What gifts mean to Umar: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
