I've worked in plumbing from 1983 to 2017. I learned from my aunt and passed what I could on to 1,500 apprentices. The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 12 years later for another job. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Umar: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
