Uma M. Kumar
Printmaking artist in Mangaluru
- 🇮🇳 Mangaluru, Karnataka, India
- Mangaluru Art Collective
- Since 2005
- English, French
I work mostly in printmaking, sometimes oil painting. My first show was in 2005 at Mangaluru Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Mangaluru Art Collective, which keeps me honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Uma
I've had 6 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Uma: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
