Udari Sachini Jayawardena
Teacher at Hope Public School, loves geography
- 🇱🇰 Dehiwala, Western, Sri Lanka
- Hope Public School
- Since 1983
- English, Sinhala, French
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 43 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I watch every football match going.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Udari
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Udari: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
