Uche Gbenga Ogunleye
Master of auto repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- The Lagos Shop
- 1995 to 2005
- English, Igbo, Spanish
My trade is auto repair. I opened my own shop in 1995 in Lagos and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Uche
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Uche: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
