Uche Danjuma Nwachukwu
Sitar and tabla teacher
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Ensemble
- Since 1986
- English, Igbo
I've played sitar since 1986, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Uche
I write my first song when I was 16. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Uche: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
