Tracey P. Chetty

Local leatherwork and carpentry

  • 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Johannesburg Workshop
  • 1983 to 1997
  • English
My trade is leatherwork. I opened my own shop in 1983 in Johannesburg and I'm still there most mornings. Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I always make time for a proper cup of tea. If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

More about Tracey

Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

Crafts and trades

What gifts mean to Tracey: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
