Tong Zhi Gao
Illustration and mural painting artist
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- Little Oakwood Pottery
- 1982 to 2020
- English, Mandarin
I work mostly in illustration, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 1982 at Little Oakwood Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I make terrible puns.
More about Tong
I've had 6 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Tong: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
