I taught design and technology at Pioneer Technical College in Setagaya from 1993 to 2001. Most days I taught teenagers, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Tomoya
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Tomoya: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
